JUNE 10, 2017

Attendance: Carole Casterline, Mike Day, Craig Johnson, Thomas Johnson, John Knipler, Karen Kolb, Tom Kutas, Karen Saona, Raul Saona

Tom Kutas opened the meeting with a prayer at 9:00 AM.

The minutes of the last meeting on April 1, 2017 were approved as submitted.

Finance report:  Mike Day reported a balance of $104.70.  He recommended having activities that make a profit.
Hospitality Committee Report:  In Guy Huber’s absence, Tom Kutas stated that the Easter brunch was very successful and had an abundance of food to offer.

June 11, 2017:  The Faith in Action event was held promoting and sharing information about the numerous committees at Holy Trinity.  The Fellowship and Hospitality Committee took reservations for the Buffalo River Historical Cruise scheduled in July.

July 9, 2017:  A hot dog roast will be held following the 10:30 AM service and prior to the Buffalo River cruise.  Mike Day will clarify where the boat is located for boarding.  With parking being difficult in the Canalside area, John Knipler suggests leaving vehicles at HT and using the train to attend the event.

July 29, 2017:  Craig Johnson has organized the event to be held at Tan Tara.  Registration begins at 11:30 and lunch will be served prior to the tee-off time at 1:00 PM.  The fee is $50.00, and profits will be donated for camperships at LCLC.  People wishing to go for lunch only may do so at a cost of $12.00.  Refreshments following the game will be available on a cash basis.

October 7, 2017:   The Blessing of Pets will take place in the chapel parking lot at 10:00 AM.

October 29, 2017:  Oktoberfest will take place from 12:00 to 3:00 PM.  Tom Kutas has hired the Auslanders Band at a cost of $485.00, and Guy Huber and Paul Hoebel are organizing the food and beverages.

New Business:  Mike Day would like some help in organizing a bus trip to a sporting event (possibly to Syracuse or Cleveland).  This will be discussed at the September meeting.  Mike also suggested doing a Father’s Day event in the future.  Although it is too late to organize something for this year, hot dogs will be roasted and served this Father’s Day.  Tom Johnson stated that auto shows have been organized to celebrate the holiday in the past.

The next meeting will be held on September 16, 2017 at 9:00 AM in Redeemer Hall.

The meeting closed at 9:50 AM with the Lord’s Prayer.
Respectfully submitted by Karen Saona
