Hospitality Committee:  Charmaine Kaltrider indicated that the committee is now planning the Oktoberfest and the congregational Christmas dinner.  Tom Kutas expressed appreciation to the committee for all the work they have done on a number of receptions.

Property Committee Liaison: Gary Herrnreiter reported that the committee is getting bids for roof work on the building at 1092 Main Street.  Work is also in progress on the public outdoor space near the front of the church.  Pastor Miller expects that it will be completed by springtime.

July 9th:  The Buffalo River Historic Cruise was attended by fifty-four people, a number comparable to the Buffalo Harbor Cruise of the previous year.  The proceeds were approximately $100.00, which will be used for the Christmas food baskets for the needy.

July 29th:  The golf tournament had 20 participants.  Attendance was the same on Saturday as it was when the tournament was held on a Monday the previous year.  Some discussion was held regarding which day would be best for a future tournament, but no decision was made.

October 4th:  Pastor Maynor will do a pet blessing in the chapel as part of the Wednesday evening worship service.

October 29th:  Oktoberfest will be held from noon until 3:00PM.  The Auslanders Band has been hired.  Reservations will be sold starting on October1st at the coffee hours as well as by calling the church office.  Prices are $15.00 per adult and $40.00 per family.  Children under age 12 will be admitted free of cost.  Proceeds will benefit the Christmas food baskets.  Attendance is limited to 150 people.

December 3rd:  The greening of the church is scheduled.

December13th:  Food boxes for the needy will be prepared.  Distribution will begin on the 18th of December.

December 19th:  A possible bus trip to the Carrier Dome in Syracuse for a UB/Syracuse basketball game is being researched by Mike Day.  He is assessing interest in the event.

June 18th:  Father’s Day will be celebrated with a road rally.

December 2018:  Planning will begin for a Christkindlemarkt to be held on December 2, 2018.
New Business:
  1. The question arose regarding the responsibility for plant removal in the landscaping around the church after the summer season.  Pastor Miller will follow up.
