The Rev. Lee M. Miller - Pastor

Pastor Miller was born in Jamestown, New York and raised in Lockport and
Syracuse, New York.  He graduated from the State University of New York in Albany
in 1991 with a B.A. in English and having completed his certification for teaching
English for secondary education. 

Pastor graduated from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia
in 1998 with a Masters of Divinity degree with a concentration in Urban Ministry.
His first call was to Christus Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camden, New Jersey.  In 2004 he was
called as Senior Pastor to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.  He was then called
as Senior Pastor to Holy Trinity in November 2012.

He is happily married to his wife of 14 years, Heather, and together their
greatest joy is their 4 year old son, Griffin.


 
 
The Rev. Neil Kattermann ~ Visitation Pastor
Pastor Kattermann was born and raised in Northern Michigan. He graduated from Concordia Teachers College in Seward, NB and Concordia Seminary in Springfield, IL. He was ordained in the LC-MS on January 7th at Zion Lutheran Church in Tawas City, MI. The following Sunday he was installed as Pastor of Hope Lutheran Church, Arcade NY. He served that parish or 35 years as Pastor. In 1999 both the church and Pastor Kattermann became members of the ELCA. Upon retirement from Hope he served as Assistant to the Bishop for Candidacy until coming to Holy Trinity as Intentional Interim Pastor.  Pastor Katterman now serves as Visitation Pastor.

 
Pastor Kattermann married Pamela (Mandel) Kattermann in October 1973. They have 3 grown children, Kristin (Justin) Pomietlarz of Buffalo, Erin (Cory) Eno of Marshton Mills, MA and Joel (Larae) Kattermann of Townsend, MA. He has three grandchildren, Lydia,  Isaac Eno and Caleb Curtis born on 11/13/11.

 
 


The Rev. John A. Buerk ~ Pastor
Pastor Buerk graduated from Union College, Gettysburg Seminary and did post graduate work at Heidelberg University in Germany. He was ordained in 1959. Rev. Buerk retired as pastor of Parkside Lutheran Church in 2000, after 28 years there. Prior to that position he seved as Protestant Chaplain to the State University of NY at Buffalo for 7 years, and in the University administration, also for 7 years. He was an Adjunct Professor in the Philosophy Department.
 
At the end of 2012, Pastor Buerk retired from his part-time position at Holy Trinity Church. He is married to Jill Raisen Buerk, and has three children: Linda, Dietrich and Christian. John is also the Ecumenical Officer for the Upstate New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
 


 
James Bigham ~ Organist/Choirmaster
 
Mr. Bigham joined the staff at Holy Trinity in 1977. He is a South Carolina native and received his education at Erskine College, the Curtis Institute of Music, and the School of Sacred Music of Union Theological Seminary in New York City. This was followed by a year's study abroad in England and Germany. Teachers have included Frederick Swann, Alexander McCurdy, Robert Baker, George Thalben-Ball, Michael Schneider, and McNeil Robinson.
 





Linda Lipczynski~ Parish Secretary

Linda started with us in November 2007 as parish secretary. Her duties include, among other things, administrative office tasks, such as weekly bulletins, monthly newsletters, maintaining the council and committee minute book and updating the membership roll. Her previous employment of 22 years was with the law firm of Hodgson Russ LLP as legal secretary. She is married to Brian and has two boys, Kyle and Eric.
 



 
Carol Littlefield ~ Parish Accountant
 
Carol has been with Holy Trinity since February of 1987. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Canisius College. Carol is responsible for recording members' contributions, paying all the expenses, and tracking the church's investment portfolio. She is married to Marty and and they have two daughters, Caitlin and Claire.
 
 
 

 
Nick Stroczkowski ~ Director of Youth Ministries
 
Nick has been involved in youth ministry for most of his life- A participant in his younger years, and as a youth leader throughout college until now. Nick worked for years at Lake Chautauqua Lutheran Center as a counselor, sailing instructor, and workshop leader. He loves sailboats, downhill skateboards, and keeping in touch with his inner child. There was a choice to either work in ministry or keep pouring coffee at the local coffee shop; Nick chose ministry, coffee gives him a stomach ache. Nick is also a Peer Minister with Lutheran Campus Ministries, a ministry geared towards college age young adults. 



John Busch ~ Director of Buildings and Grounds

 
John has been with Holy Trinity since April 1994. He is in charge of and oversees maintenance functions pertaining to all buildings and property belonging to the church. Some of his duties include performing plumbing, electrical, heating and painting repairs. He is also instrumental in acquiring bids from contractors for future renovations/repairs and oversees contractors throughout these projects. As of December 2008, John retired as a Senior Master Sergeant from the Air Force Reserve.







Charles Ryniec ~ Steward of Buildings and Grounds

Chuck has been at Holy Trinity since 2010.  He started off part time and has become a full-time Steward of Building & Grounds in 2012.  Daily he works with John Busch to maintain the church grounds.  He is always on hand to help the congregation when needed.  John is married to Barbara and has two children, Kimberly and Derek.




Judy Reifsteck ~ Parish Nurse

Judy is a registered nurse with over 35 years of experience in the health care profession.  Judy has been a community Health Care Nurse for over 15 years and is a registered dental hygienist.   Having graduated from D’Youville College with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing she has a certificate from Lourdes Hospital Parish Nurse Program in Binghamton, NY.  She is also a leader of the Spiritual Caregivers Support Group at St. Gregory’s Parish and she has completed a two course in Ecumenical Lay Leadership in the Church.  She is a widow with two children and four grandchildren.  Judy is employed part time at the Schofield Nursing Home as a Nurse Auditor for the Long-term Home Healthcare Program.
